Apogee Responders offers a structured, voluntary leadership mentorship program designed specifically for first responders. Departments may choose to support a cohort of members who have independently expressed interest in developing stronger self-leadership, discipline, and professional standards on and off duty.
This program is independent, non-clinical, and focused on leadership, identity, and sustainable performance under pressure.
What Apogee Responders Is
Apogee Responders is a 12-month leadership mentorship for first responders that emphasizes:
Self-leadership and accountability
Decision-making under stress
Identity and role clarity
Time, discipline, and standards
Family leadership and personal responsibility
Long-term professional sustainability
The program is delivered through a structured monthly curriculum, group mentorship calls, and peer accountability within a closed cohort.
What Apogee Responders Is Not
Apogee Responders is not therapy
Apogee Responders is not peer support
Apogee Responders is not clinical treatment
Apogee Responders does not diagnose, treat, or replace mental health services
Apogee Responders does not replace EAP, CISM, or department wellness resources
Participants are encouraged to utilize department-approved resources and professional services as needed.
Department-supported cohorts operate under the following principles:
Participation is voluntary
Enrollment does not impact evaluations, assignments, promotions, or discipline
Departments do not receive access to individual participant data
Departments do not monitor or attend program sessions
Departments may receive only aggregate participation and completion metrics as needed
Cohorts are designed to protect individual privacy while supporting leadership development at scale.
